IN ENGLISH & BULGARIAN

On Friday, June 14, was the first hearing of the Criminal Court in Asenovgrad, Bulgaria against offender Raycho D. Ivanov. After listening to the prosecution witness’ testimony and considering investigation's findings Judge Stefka Pashova remanded Mr. Ivanov in custody.

Here are some of her reasons to refuse releasing him on bail:
-the offence was committed intentionally and in an extremely cruel manner
-the offender showed no remorse
-there is a strong indication that the offender imposes high risk to the public

Chronology of events

- On Friday June 7, 2013 Raycho D.Ivanov, a 55 y.old man from the Bulgarian village Topolovo, decided to punish his dog for killing couple of chicks. He tied the dog to the back of his car and dragged it for some time. An eyewitness took photo and posted it on Facebook. The photo went viral. That prompted police to act.
- On June 8, Mr.Ivanov was taken to the local police station for questioning. Later police found the animal dumped near the village and RETURNED it to its sadistic owner. Shortly after that, Mr. Ivanov and the dog disappeared.

Thanks to the intense public outcry, police began investigation. They found the dog’s body buried in Mr. Raycho D. Ivanov’s back yard. He confessed that he buried it himself. The dog’s body was exhumed and forensic examination was performed. The findings proved that the dog suffered extremely painful and prolonged death. His injuries were horrific: dissected phalanges of all four feet, numerous broken vertebra, big chunks of missing skin revealing bare muscles, heavy bleeding from its mouth.

At the moment, Mr. Raycho D. Ivanov is in police custody awaiting verdict. Her Honour judge STEFKA PASHOVA indicated that given the extremity of the offense, her ruling will be harsh.

Please, keep sharing this petition! Our opinion matters and it is now more important than ever, to let the authorities know that we insist for the harshest possible punishment of the heartless man Raycho D. Ivanov, who committed a barbaric crime and shows no remorse whatsoever! A heartfelt thank you!

ПЕТИЦИЯ: НАСТОЯВАЙТЕ ЗА НАЙ-СУРОВОТО НАКАЗАНИЕ ЗА МЪЖА ВЛАЧИЛ КУЧЕ С КОЛАТА СИ!
http://www.change.org/petitions/demand-the-harshest-punishment-for-the-man-who-dragged-a-dog-behind-his-car

A very sad dog: Juno...

Everyone, please meet Juno:

And this is his mum and you can see where she gave birth to him and his 6 brothers z(an improvised "home" in the forest:

This female  doggy was abandoned near the forest just before to give birth to the puppies .... "great owners"
she had ...so very sad...

But the president of "White Fang" foundation, Andrei Sanda, who made this small protected "houses" in the forest, helped them by taking all familie to the shelter!

So, from this place in cold and snow......

Here they are protect, feed and has a warm place!

In the shelter...safe and sleepy!
The pups are now 4 month old, big size, and they live in the paddock at the shelter... They will need adoption soon!...
But Juno.... well,... he is now a sick puppy..... His story is this:
One day... Juno was not able to walk, his back legs were stuck and the other day he was not able to get up :(((

Was taken to vet, had xray and blood tests but no clear diagnosis:

Some "metabolic" problems affecting the bones... vets told...Blood tests were good!
He is now appointed to a top vet (for neurologic check) on May 10th...
Is now having vitamins....and he is trying to get up...but still nothing :(

Now he needs help to have a MRI for brain and spinal cord... Can you please help him! He is such a sweet doggy... but so unlucky ...We hope he will get well if the vet will found what is wrong with him!!! Please share, donate a penny, help Juno to be a normal dog again! ♥ Thank you so much! ♥ Juno loves all of you!

Saved from street in Romania - put to sleep by adopter in U.K. after just 1 DAY!!!....Sasha's sad story...

Sasha.... a very unlucky dog....

Part 1 - Hit by car, saved and cared

Here in Romania, even if he had a car accident, Sasha was a happy dog! He was saved by a doctor, Camelia Mircea, who cared for him for 2 years! She bandaged his feet everyday...took him to vet in another city, 2-3 times/week and LOVED HIM!!!
Camelia is a family doctor in Galati, Romania. She is alone with her father (ill of cancer) and she loves animals. Even if she works hard and cares for her parent, when she found a dog in the street who wasn't able to move back legs, she took him to the vet and when she found he will not be able to walk again, she didn't give up on him, didn't put him back in the street, didn't put him to sleep! She started to care for him and found a house with a small yard and payed someone to keep him there (she has another pet, his father's dog and that is why she couldn't keep Sasha in apartment). She was going every day to see him, cared his wounds (he was chewing his legs because he didn't feel them) and bandaged his back legs EVERY DAY! She loved him so much! I talked to her once and she said this dog is so full of life and he moves by his front legs and he almost running! ...
Because people I know (good friends many of them) thought he might have a chance after a surgery to start walking again, she accepted a girl to take him to Bucharest to a great vet! The vet operated Sasha, but unfortunately he hadn't any chance of walking again...

With bandages and legs protected from hurting when he moved... His face said all: Sasha was a happy dog, excepting his back legs but he really didn't look in pain or bad shape....He was cared and his life was good... IN ROMANIA...

But because Camelia was very tired and her father was so ill, she was convinced by many people who also helped Sasha by buying an wheelchair and sending many things to make his life a bit better.

GOOD BYE ROMANIA....

March 15th, last day in Romania... first day in HELL ...
(Camelia decided is better to let Sasha go to a better person, so she said bye to Sasha....thinking he will be a lot more happier in U.K.................She was SO WRONG...................)

Part 2:
UK:   Here is where NIGHTMARE begins for Sasha........................

I cannot say more, I didn't know Sasha left Romania, ....
What happened I just fond on Monday when I read this (was written by a wonderful friend who did everything to stop people in UK to put Sasha to sleep):

"The past several day's have been unbelievably hard. I've been trying to form into words what has happened to Sasha. He arrived in the UK (London), and the next day his Adopter, "Angie Newing", along with Ariane Coury, Susann Schmidt, and with the approval of Mandy Easter put Sasha to sleep. He was found to have Gangrene in both leg's as well as Septicemia in his Bloodstream. I begged for them to wait a few day's, so that I could find a Specialist for Sasha to go to, before they made the decision to put him to sleep. I want everyone to know that these women did not listen to me.

I spoke to Oana (who prepared him for travel in Romania), as well as "Camelia" (his previous owner). I also got every single part of his travel arrangements prepared. Without my help, Sasha would have not gone to the UK. And when Sasha arrived there, these women took it upon themselves, along with the Vet, to put Sasha to sleep. I begged for them not to put Sasha to sleep, and I was willing to pay for him to go to a Specialist to see about treatment on his leg's. None of these women would listen to me, and put him to sleep the very next day after he arrived there. Then they had the nerve to tell me, to leave them alone so they could grieve? These women who basically let me do almost all the work, and then take it upon themselves to decide Sasha's fate? I do not agree with it, and never will! I am absolutely appauled by their actions, as well as the Vet's!

I have asked numerous times for them to send pictures of Sasha's Leg's, Full Bloodwork, and Findings of Sasha. I also asked to speak to this Vet in London, before they made the decision to put him to sleep. Not one of these women would listen to me! Not one of these women would give me the Vet's Number! I have been involved in cases before, where Dog's had gangrene & severe infection. Their lives were saved. I am beyond angry over what has happened to Sasha. If you know these women: Ariane Coury, Angie Newing, Susann Schmidt, and Mandy Easter........

I ask that you demand that those Vet Records be made Public. They listened to nothing I said. They wouldn't even give him 2 day's, for me to find a Specialist. I'm a Trauma/ Medical Surgical/ Orthopedic Nurse. I have had many many patients who had both Gangrene & Severe Infection, and their lives were saved. I feel that this Vet & these women had no right to make the decision as to whether Sasha lives or dies. I am sickened beyond words. If he would have come here to the USA, I would have not allowed him to be put to sleep, and would have paid to have him see several specialists. I want everyone to know that I DID NOT give up on Sasha! The Vet and those women did what they believed was right. Thank you."

So...instead of fighting for a  life....the vet in U.K. and that adopter PUT TO SLEEP A POOR DOG, EVEN IF THE RESCUER FROM ROMANIA ASK THEM TO SEND HIM BACK...

We didn't deserved this doggy in this world, so he left us........................Sasha...a beautiful dog... and such a cruel fate!!!

This is the e-mail I received from the rescuer of Sasha from Galati, Romania:

Lucy – a true story… A doggy cured of Distemper (nervous stage)

This is Lucy…when she was found very hungry and dirty, scared by other dogs…She was rescued and took to a vet clinic in Bucharest, Romania and they made her a vaccine and put her in a cage. The lady who rescued her asked for a foster home as she was “healthy” and was not a place for her in the cage at the vet.
As i have a male dog, I said I will take her until we’ll find an adopter! So, Lucy came to us in an August afternoon to live in our apartment. She was scared of Toto and about 1 week she ran from him.
Until September she was ok, started to play with Toto, then she stopped eating, slept all day, vomited… so we took her to vet and had blood tests and infusions (vitamins). after this, she started to eat and felt better.

One morning when I got up from bed I found blood where she slept…It was from her nose…I took her again to vet and they made the test and found she was having Distemper, the respiratory stage… Vet started to treat her with Interferon and vitamins for her imunitary system,  which was very low…  After some weeks, still not good news, so Toto donated her blood and she had blood transfusion.

LUCY at the vet having blood transfusions!

After all these treatments she felt much better, walking in the park, eating, being a normal dog! Everyone thought she is saved!
But no,…Unfortunately this was the silence before “the storm” … She started to not be able to walk… and from that time until December 2012, around Christmas, she just lay down in bed, not moving but eating and drinking…Some days she was like a vegetable, many days and nights she was screaming (without any reason, vets said…)…we kept her confortable and fed her very well, kept her clean and warm!  But time was passing and nothing good …until, after many medications and treatments (pills, infusions, homeopatic pills) she started just before Christmas to raise her head, couldn’t keep it much time up, but she wanted to live!
I have to confess, I never was sure she will get better … It was very hard for all of us… But Lucy is a FIGHTER!!!  Animals I knew are strong, but this case confirmed once more…they have more will to live!!! They suffer in silence, cannot tell you what is wrong…what pains they have…but they fight!!! She won the fight with dead…She choose to live !!!

Day by day she amazed us by trying to move her legs, she is now walking but we have to help her, because her muscles are still very poor. she will soon have hidroterapy and will soon be stronger! She wants to walk, to run again in the park with Toto.
They started to play again, she is very active and playful! Almost like a normal dog!

Lucy and toto, after they played, tired now!

Lucy walking, just needs a bit of help, …soon she will run in the park !
In the end, i would like to thank you ALL our friends who helped us to be able to help Lucy to get better and to start a new a dn happy life! She is just 1 year old…

When people all over the world join hands for helping a family of dogs from a city in Romania !

Meet Vexy ...a stray dog from a small city in Romania ...

She was like this, since 2010, when most probably was hit by a car  when she was a puppy...
A young man asked for help as there are not many  veterinary clinics, so he wanted her to be taken to Bucharest, to a vet for a good care...

Maria Tudor from Bucharest, replied to the message and we went to take Vexy from Oltenita  and brought her in Bucharest at the end of March 2012.

As you can see in the first photo, near Vexy was another doggy... Our Facebook friends wanted to know that doggy safe too, so Maria said to me: "We are going to take that doggy too...Is Vexy's friend! They have to be together!" ... so we went in a rainy Sunday to take Vexy's friend to Bucharest...

There we found FRIEND was Vexy's MOMMY  with her new puppies... 7 "dwarfs" ... and took all of them to Bucharest !
The happiness of Vexy was incredible, when she saw her mom!!!

She crawled after her, poor Viktoria was so tired after the trip....

Vexy, her mum Viktoria and her "stepbrothers:" are now in vets'  care...

After staying in foster (Viktoria and pups) and at the vet clinic (Vexy) , Kim Serino said she will adopt Vexy and her mum, to N.Y., USA!!!
And so,...In June... here they are :

Pups grew bigger and all were taken in foster in Wales, by Tricia Clements!

AND NOW...THE GREAT NEWS!!!!

.....

 VEXY CAN WALK !!!!

AND............
 SHE LOVES TO SWIMM !!!!

Well... this was the story I wanted to tell you !
I hope you are so happy as we all involved in this rescue are!!!

THE HAPPY END

P.S. Manny thanks to Maria Tudor (Romania), Kim Serino (U.S.A.), Tricia Clements (Wales), Kate Walsh (U.K.), Elaine Wiesner-Rohr (U.S.A.) and the vets: Stefan Olaru, Anca Dobrica (Romania) and Dr. Kenneth Luckow (U.S.A.) and all the friends who donated for these doggies to get to their new homes !

ANIMALS ARE SENTIENT BEINGS ~ Bobita ...

In the photo above he is near a place where a woman sells vegetables in a market .... He has no where to go... Betty, her friend is kept by neighbors of the owner who died, near the place where they lived together....

Betty in the photo, she came after Bobita and both lived near the market ,...in the street!

Thanks to Larisa, before winter came, the doggies were taken in foster...not in a great place...but they were no more in the street !

Watch the video, you will see how happy both dogs were !  :

Now... Larisa thought they will need a real family, and a good place where they can live happy.... She talked to a woman.... she wanted to adopt just Betty...and Larisa wanted not to separate them... so the woman said she want Bobita for her son .... But they will not live together , because son lives some miles away...but they will visit !

Well,....wrong decision ....

Photos above were taken in foster in Romania...before they were sent to Denmark.....

And they arrived to Denmark......

Here is Betty...she looks great in the few photos sent by the new owner.... The doggy looks happy...

Betty in her forever home in DK

But unfortunately Bobita didn't have a good fate ... He was separated from Betty, his best bfriend...and went some miles away to his new family ....

I will not talk about the owners... I just tell you a story...a sad one...
Two days after he arrived to Denmark.... BOBITA WAS LOST !!!!!

The person who arranged the adoptions and many wonderful people from Denmark search him for 2 weeks ...

People and dogs searching for Bobita in the woods in DK

After 2 weeks, Bobita was captured in a fox trap...and went to the person who said will adopt him  and not to the "owners" who lost him ...

And we all could say he is now safe.... and the new owner promised to take him to meet Betty.... BUT ...Betty's owner didn't want that...and also she doesn't want to send new photos or updates...so now we are all worried about Betty ..... because Betty's owner said "she is afraid of black men" ...so we don't know what black men are there....

....................... no photo available for Betty ...............................

As we were trying to find a way to ask the DK authorities to find Betty and her owner..... a new problem! ...Bad news from Bobita's new owner.... "he is bites people and dogs" ..... so she asks a dog trainer to check his behavior and she gives him PILLS !!!! And the family is trying to find a new adopter...but if not...THEY SAID THEY WILL BE THE ONLY ONES WHO WILL DECIDE WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO BOBITA !!!! AND THIS IS SO UNFAIR ! ALSO WE ARE AFRAID THEY MIGHT PUT BOBITA TO SLEEP SAYING HE IS A DANGER FOR HUMANS AND ANIMALS!!!!!

SO, WE ASK YOU TO HELP US TO TAKE BOBITA AND BETTY BACK IN ROMANIA , TO SEE WHAT IS WRONG WITH THEM AND TO BE CHECK BY VETS ...AND AFTER A WHILE TO BE ADOPT JUST TOGETHER, NOT SEPARATED AGAIN !!!

PLEASE, HELP BETTY AND BOBITA TO LIVE A NORMAL LIFE AND TO BE TOGETHER , FOREVER
THEY HAVE SOULS... THEY ARE NOT THINGS...
THEY DESERVES A GOOD LIFE !!!!
